Who writes BillsSorted
Our pages are written by the BillsSorted editorial team.
How we write
Answers first. Each page starts with a short, direct answer to the question it covers.
Plain English. Short sentences, no jargon without an explanation.
No advice. We explain how things work and what to check. We don't tell you which deal to choose.
No big claims. We don't publish savings figures we can't back up.
Where our information comes from
Our price ranges are typical prices for new deals, taken from providers' own websites each month.
We use official and primary sources wherever we can, including:
- Ofcom for coverage, complaints, switching rules and price trends
- Advertising Standards Authority for advertising rules
- GOV.UK and Citizens Advice for consumer rights and support
Every figure shows its source and the date it applies to. Each page lists its sources in a "Sources and dates" section at the bottom.
Keeping pages up to date
Each page shows when it was last updated. Price ranges are checked monthly. Ofcom figures are updated when Ofcom publishes them.
Our partners don't influence what we write
We may earn a commission if you take out a deal through our partners. Our partners can't pay to change what we write or the figures we show. How we make money
